Summer Time Service

National Days of Service tend to fall during the school year and they usually coincide with a day off school.  But, now that it’s summer time and there is no school are there still service days?  Why, yes there are!  They may not be National Days of Service but, you can server anytime and anywhere!  It doesn’t have to be a holiday and you don’t even have to leave your house if you don’t want to. 

HandsOn Mid-Willamette Valley has some great summer volunteer projects going on in Marion, Yamhill and Polk counties.  All of these projects can be completed in just a few hours and you don’t have to make a commitment to volunteering with that particular site again.  These projects are a great way to get out of or into the heat!  You can do them on your own or bring a group of friends.  Check out our Summer Project Calendar .  HandsOn also has a great list of “Service To Go!” project!  You can do these projects anywhere and everywhere, take them with you to the park, the pool, on the road or somewhere cool indoors!  To find out more about “Service To Go!”
