Kate Decarlo, Non-Profit Capacity Building Coordinator: Kate is our Partner Agencies’ best friend.  She recruits experts and organizes all the trainings we offer our Partner Agencies.  She is our resident expert for resources, tool kits and trainings that offer partners the ways to build, improve and shake up their volunteer programs.  Kate is an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer.

Chelsea Whitlow, Days of Service Coordinator: Chelsea is our Days of Service guru.  National Days of Service increase in popularity every day.  Whether you are a Partner Agency looking to plan a project for the next National Day of Service or you are a volunteer (individual or group) that wants to get involved, Chelsea wants to hear from you.  She coordinates or spotlights projects for the 9/11 Day of Service and Rememberence, Make a Difference Day, Family Volunteer Day, MLK Jr. Day of Service, Cesar Chavez Day, National Volunteer Week, Global Youth Service Day, and Earth Day. Chelsea is an AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer.

Austin Rowlader, Antonia Maurer and Nicole Walker Sundby, Community Mobilizers: Austin, Antonia and Nicole are our on the ground movers and shakers.  If you are a young person or you know a young person who has a passion for volunteerism, these 3 want to talk to you!  They engage and train young people (ages 6-24) in the importance of service and give them the tools and support to identify and alleviate issues that are important to them.  Austin, Nicole and Antonia are AmeriCorps National Direct Volunteers.

Khela Singer, HandsOnMWV Director: Khela is our fearless leader.  She is often tending to the needs of our Partner Agencies through ongoing training, consultation and representation at community presentations and events.  She works with businesses that are looking to start or expand their employee volunteer programs.

Melissa Gibler, Director of Programs: Melissa is our captain for national programs like Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.  She helps individual and groups of volunteers find both ongoing and done in a day service opportunities. She has a passion for volunteerism and wants to help everyone find their ideal way to serve. She oversees our communications via Volunteer and Partner Agency e-alerts, blog, and HandsOn’s bi-monthly column in the Statesman Journal.

Zach Spiller, Director of Operations: Zach is the newest member of the HandsOn team.  He is our numbers guy.  You can often find him pouring over a spreadsheet and vamping up the HandsOn website.  He is also famous for using yummy pie analogies to explain tough data and technology concepts.  Welcome aboard Zach!
