HandsOn Projects
To introduce people to volunteerism or just simply to provide a one-time service experience to a group of volunteers, HandsOn Mid-Willamette Valley coordinates regular done-in-a-day HandsOn Projects across Marion, Polk, and Yamhill Counties. One of the benefits of becoming a HandsOn Partner Agency is that you get to benefit from these regular HandsOn Projects by proposing projects and hosting volunteer groups at your agency. To be eligible to host a HandsOn Project, you must be an official HandsOn Partner Agency and have completed the All In A Day’s Work Training.
Opportunities to host a HandsOn Project arise due to nationally recognized Days of Service, local volunteer events, and group requests for a volunteer experience. Requests for project proposals go out to all Partner Agencies anytime one of these opportunities arises. To view current requests for projects, check out our blog.
We also invite you to submit project ideas anytime and we will do our best to find a group to fill your volunteer needs! We receive requests from businesses, youth groups, families, and friends all of the time. Our recommendation, if you have a date set, is to post the opportunity to your organization profile. If you have a project that can happen anytime a group is available, then we suggest that you (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) our team with the following details:
1) Volunteer tasks
2) How many volunteers needed
3) How many hours it will take
4) Days of the week and times that work best for you to host a group
