Community Homeless Connect is coming!

Do you know where a safe place is to stay when you’re on the street? Have you had to question if you’d be able to feed your children in the morning? Many people have and in these economic times many more people are having to find the answers to these tough questions. Community Homeless Connect is a way for individuals experiencing homelessness in Marion and Polk counties to get connected to local resources that can make a difference in their life and help them get back on their feet. There are a wide variety of services offered to participants that day which, means we need a wide variety of volunteers!!

We have volunteer opportunities ranging from cutting hair to pet services to translators to bike repair and much much more! This year’s Community Homeless Connect will be held on March 23, 2010 from 9am to 4pm and the First Baptist Church in downtown Salem.
